I am the Managing Director of Datalink, a well-established and innovative software developer in Melbourne, Australia. Datalink specialises in cloud and mobile software development and support.
Currently my role is heavily involved in the technical and business development of Crisisworks, a cloud-based crisis control and recovery system for local governments and businesses. Crisisworks has become the leading incident management platform for Australian local government, and is growing in the commercial sector.
Over my career I have learned the art of building and managing teams of smart people, and have designed and managed initiatives in product, service and systems development to build a sustainable enterprise.
My vast technical background as a practicing software engineer has helped me develop holistic skills that span infrastructure architecture, solution architecture, business analysis, software engineering, usability, quality and software management.
I also have a keen interest innovation and strategy, and I have developed strong skills in strategy, management, planning, marketing and finance through my academic and business achievements.
I am a Senior Member and Certified Professional of the Australian Computer Society (MACS Snr CP), a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), and I have a Masters degree in Business, specialising in strategy and innovation. I am on the board of two privately-held companies and provide strategic advice to others.
With a deep interest in information technology, innovation strategy and management, and as a highly skilled solution architect, my greatest value is in innovating across these disciplines.
