Tim got his start as a freelance web designer, in late 2004. After designing a few client websites and developing some of his own web projects, he came to realize that without the help of search, particularly a Google search, these websites are going virtually unnoticed by the general public. By mid-2005, Tim was spending far more time learning and experimenting with “SEO best practices” than he was actually designing and creating graphics. In under a year, his SEO knowledge landed him a job doing SEO phone tutorials for customers at a major domain registrar and eventually becoming the in-house trainer for all new hires in the online marketing department.
Fast forward to early 2010, Tim had returned to the Detroit area and began a job managing full-service SEO campaigns for various websites in a broad spectrum of industries, with a more “hands-on” SEO development role. During this time, he was able to hone his skills and surpass the accomplishments of the majority of his SEO counterparts, both locally and on a national level.
